Song of the Day

Last night, we went to the theatre, the place that I would go every day if I could, to see the newest show, Father of the Bride (hilarious, by the way.). I learned many lessons from that show, including realizing how much I value certain relationships in my life. I am probably the luckiest girl in the whole world, I am coming to learn over the last couple days. Not lucky, no. Blessed. That's it.

After the show was over, we were talking to the actors and my grandparents were introducing me to all the ones I hadn't met yet. One of them, the father of the bride himself in fact, was making his goodbyes and he said "Goodbye grand-daughter! what was your name again?". When I repeated Amanda back to him, he started singing. When he saw the blank look on my face (smiling, but blank), he asked if I had ever heard that song before. When I replied in the negative, he told me to go home and look up Amanda by Boston. I told him I was going to be used as my ringtone and my alarm and for any other purpose I could possibly think of.

How is it that I have gone this long without knowing about this song? It's a keeper :)
