What is happening to my summer?

Where is it going?! It's June in a month! I've been here for a little under a month and a half and it definitely does not feel that way! It's crazy.

Where is the time going?

Another question that is hidden behind the title of this post is - what happened to my college summers? What happened to road trips and doing crazy fun awesome stuff? Instead my summer consists of working every day and not going anywhere or doing anything because my money needs to go towards college.

Now I'm not bitter or anything, I'm really not. I understand that it has to be done and I am happy to do it, but it is still kind of a bummer. I don't even get the thrill (I'm not being sarcastic here whatsoever, I love everything about the moving process) of moving with my family, which I usually get to participate in... It saddens me.

I want to go on a road trip with my friends...

I want to go to Disneyland...

I want to be spontaneous and just go and do things without worrying about money or missing work...

But it was not meant to be, and I should probably get used to it because that's how my next four summers are going to be -working to pay for the next year of school.

But you know what, it will be worth it! Because if and when everything goes according to my calculations, if I follow this plan, I'll be able to get through college without taking out any student loans and I'll finish completely debt free. AW YEAH!

And I'll have earned it all on my own.

Cross our fingers it works out, or all these highly structured summers are going to have been a waste of time and effort. I could be in Disneyland.
